PEM® fasteners are the industry standard self-clinching, broaching, flaring, surface mount or weld technology providing strong, reusable and permanent threaded and mount points in thin sheet metal, printed circuit boards and other ductile or non-ductile thin materials - as thin as 0.20 mm / .008″. PEM inserts can be installed using any parallel acting squeezing force and provide high pushout and torque-out resistance. No special hole prep is required, and inserts remain flush on the reverse side. Ideal for automated, high-volume manufacturing.
